District 3 Councilwoman Mary C. Woolridge will unveil new Hallmark neighborhood banners at 2:30 p.m. Saturday as part of the annual Hallmark block party. The block party, sponsored by Councilwoman Woolridge and the Hallmark Neighborhood Association, will run from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at 2016 Cypress Street.

Councilwoman Woolridge said the banners will serve as a clear and visible indication of the pride that citizens from the area have in their neighborhood.

"It gives me a great deal of pleasure to recognize the Hallmark Neighborhood Association for its efforts, culminating in the placement of these banners," Councilwoman Woolridge said, noting that the group works to unite property owners and residents and promotes community activities of an educational or civic nature.

All residents who live in the Hallmark area are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to the block party and enjoy free refreshments and music.

For more information on the block party, contact Councilwoman Woolridge's office at 574-1103.
