For Immediate release:
Metro Councilwoman Mary C. Woolridge (D) 3 will meet with members of the Hallmark Neighborhood Association On Monday, May 14th, 2007 to talk about the Neighborhood Assessment process.
“Metro Government needs to find about each neighborhood and the needs of each area of the city,” says Woolridge. “We will be able to tell who lives in an area, why it is unique to the city and which organizations are active.”
The meeting will take place at the Southern Star Baptist Church (lower level), 2304 Algonquin Parkway. It will begin at 7:00pm.
Councilwoman Woolridge will be joined by Amanda Clephas of the Department of Neighborhoods. Both will explain the assessment process and how the Association can get involved in setting priorities for improvements and investments in the area.
“I encourage all residents of the Hallmark Neighborhood to come out and let us know what you think a neighborhood needs to help everyone and improve the city,” says Woolridge.
