Louisville – By the end of July, The Metropolitan Sewer District will move forward with the Algonquin Parkway Drainage Improvement Project and Councilman David James (D-6) wants to make sure homeowners affected by the project know how they will be impacted.
“MSD crews hope to have this project finished in about two months if the weather permits,” says James. “ I want to make sure everyone in the 700 block of Algonquin Parkway is aware of what is about to happen and has the chance to ask questions of those who are coordinating this project.”
The Councilman and MSD will host an informational meeting on Tuesday, July 9th starting at 6:00pm at the First Gethsemane Baptist Church located at 1159 Algonquin Pkwy.
Representatives from MSD, the construction contractor TSI Paving and Councilman James will be available to answer any questions you may have concerning the project.
“Some homeowners will be inconvenienced and plan accordingly. Hopefully the inconvenience will be minimal. The important thing is to understand what MSD and the crews will doing,” says James.
Upon completion, the 700 block of Algonquin Parkway will have major roadside drainage problems resolved. Some 19 properties will be affected by the work which is along the right of way of the block and includes installation of pipe, yard drains, catch basins and driveway aprons.
