It will not be long until warmer weather will return to Metro Louisville and with it will come the chance of several air quality advisory days because of ozone levels. The local agency in charge of air quality will be the focus of the next District 12 Dialogue on Tuesday, February 21st.

“The Air Pollution Control District is an agency the average person may not be all that familiar with but they are an important environmental agency,” says Councilman Rick Blackwell (D-12). “I think it is important that everyone learn more about this agency.”

Lauren Anderson, Director of APCD will be the Guest Speaker for the meeting. She will talk about the various programs and answer questions about the agency.

February’s District 12 Dialogue will be held at the Southwest Government Center in the Main Court Room, 7219 Dixie Highway.

Joining Lauren Anderson at the meeting will be representatives of LMPD, IPL and MSD, and Congressman John Yarmuth's office will have staff on hand as well.

“I hope everyone will take the opportunity to come out,” says Blackwell.
