A series of conferences are scheduled to assist area non-profit agencies in applying for funding from Louisville Metro Government.
Six categories of non-profit agencies will be considered for funding: arts/cultural attractions, business associations, health, housing/community development, human services and youth services. Last year, Louisville Metro’s External Agency Fund awarded more than $6 million to a total of 184 various programs.
Agencies intending to apply for funding must attend one of five “Technical Assistance Conferences” listed below. At the conferences, Louisville Metro officials will explain the application process, requirements for funding, what applications should contain and the types of programs that will most likely be funded. Application forms will be available.
Technical Assistance Conferences:
February 14, 1–3 p.m.
February 15, 3–5 p.m.
ebruary 16, 9–11 a.m.
February 21, 10 a.m.–noon
February 22, 2–4 p.m.
All sessions will be held in the Mayor’s Gallery on the fourth floor of Louisville Metro Hall, 527 W. Jefferson St.
Agencies applying for funding are required to provide detailed information as to how funding is to be used and be accountable for generating the intended results. Review panels consisting of citizens and representatives of Louisville Metro Government and the Metro Council will review all applications prior to awarding funding.
Space is limited at the technical-assistance conferences, so reservations are required and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations may be made by calling 574-6424, no later than Feb. 14.
An agency may send more than one representative to a session, but each agency may only participate in one session, to allow room for other agencies. One application packet per agency will be distributed. Completed applications are due March 24.
