Louisville – It is one of the most relaxing methods of exercise there is and it has been practiced for centuries all over the globe. On Saturday, April 26th, the Sun Valley Community Center will host “World Tai Chi Day” as a way of introducing this exercise to the community.
“I think many people would be surprised at how popular Tai Chi is in our area,” says Councilwoman Cindi Fowler (D-14). “Tai Chi classes have always been a popular staple at Sun Valley and this is a chance to learn what it’s all about and how easy it is to practice.”
The community is invited to this free event which will demonstrate Tai Chi, an ancient form of meditative exercise that is practiced by millions of people of all ages. It will be held starting at 9:00am and last until 12:00pm.
Louisville’s World Tai Chi Day will give the community a chance to see how Tai Chi is practiced and the opportunity to learn about the health benefits of this graceful and flowing form of exercise.
“This is just one more fantastic activity offered at Sun Valley,” says Fowler. “We all need to get up and exercise for better health and this may be just the thing for some people. It’s another chance to have some fun and fellowship with others.”
