Louisville – Councilwoman Attica Scott (D-1) and the Lake Dreamland Fire Department will bring a very important safety message to students at Crums Lane Elementary on Friday, October 12th.
“It is important that we remind everyone, young and old alike about the importance of being prepared in the event of a fire,” says Scott. “As part of Fire Prevention Week, we are ready to educate about what youngsters need to do to be safe.”
The Councilwoman and Lake Dreamland’s Fire Chief will be on hand to talk with students at 9:00am. The school is located at 3212 South Crums Lane.
“Given the recent series of fires we have experienced through many areas of Metro Louisville, including vacant and abandoned properties, it has become even more important to stress with children and their parents the need to have a plan in the event of a fire and more importantly what can be done around the house to prevent a fire from breaking out,” says Scott.
For more information about the event, contact Councilwoman Scott’s office at 574-1101.
