Flood invites everyone to “Light Up Okolona” on Friday, November 20th

Councilwoman Madonna Flood (D-24) will help bring in the holiday season with an initiation to everyone for “Light Up Okolona” on Friday, November 20th in Lone Oak Park.
“This is a special time of year and we hope to bring a little joy and fun for everyone in the community as the holiday season gets underway,” says Flood..
The Southern High School band will set the tone of the night with holiday music before dancers from Stepping Out Dance Studio perform.
Flood and Okolona Business and Professional Association President Greg Scheller will extend the official greeting to Santa Claus who will arrive at 6:30pm.
“This is a chance for people to come out and enjoy Lone Oak Park if they have not all ready,” says Flood. “We have many people who are going to make this year’s Light Up Okolona a fun time.”
Louisville Metro Police Department, District 7, Okolona Fire Department, White Castle, Golden Corral, Okolona Park Neighborhood Association and Interlink Counseling are participating in the festivities.
“Light Up Okolona will get underway from 5:45pm to 7:00pm. Lonen Oak Park is located at the corner of Preston Highway and Outer Loop.
