Proposed Changes to APCD Permitting Program

Notice of Public Comment Period and Public Hearing

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board opens a public comment period February 22, 2013, on amendments to District Regulation 1.02 Definitions Version #13, Draft #1, Regulation 2.02 Air Pollution Regulation Requirements and Exemptions Version #7, Draft #1, Regulation 2.03 Authorization to Construct or Operate; Demolition/Renovation Notices and Permit Version #8, Draft #1, Regulation 2.08 Fees Version #26, Draft #1, Regulation 2.16 Title V Operating Permits Version #7, Draft #1, Regulation 2.17 Federally Enforceable District Origin Operating Permit Version #4, Draft #1, and Regulation 5.00 Definitions Version #2, Draft #1 which were proposed on February 20, 2013.

If adopted by the Board, Regulations 1.02 Version #13, 2.02 Version #7, 2.03 Version #8, and 2.17 Version #4 will be submitted to EPA for inclusion in the Kentucky State Implementation Plan.

Written statements will be accepted by the Board Secretary-Treasurer, Rachael Hamilton, Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District, 850 Barret Ave., Louisville, KY 40204-1745, until 5:00 p.m. March 25, 2013. Written statements will also be accepted electronically until the same deadline via the Internet at the e-mail address “airregs@louisvilleky.gov”. Oral statements will be accepted at a public hearing on April 10, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. in the Board Room, 850 Barret Ave., Louisville.

A paper copy of the proposed regulations may be obtained from Monica Little, (502) 574-6000, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. An electronic copy of the proposed regulations may be downloaded from the District’s website at “www.louisvilleky.gov/APCD/Docket.htm”.
