Councilmen attend NLC's Congress of Cities

Four members of the Louisville Metro Council will attend the National League of Cities 80th annual Congress of Cities Conference being held in Nashville, Tenn.
Councilmen Kevin Kramer, R-11, a member of NLC's Information Technology and Communications Steering Committee, and Dan Johnson, D-21, a member of the Transportation Infrastructure and Services Policy Committee, are in Nashville today attending meetings of their respective committees and general sessions of the NLC, and will return to Louisville tomorrow in time for the Metro Council meeting.
Councilwomen Cheri Bryant Hamilton, D-5, and Tina Ward-Pugh, D-9, are also attending the conference. Both councilwomen will be in attendance at tomorrow night's Council meeting.
This year's conference will run through Dec. 13th and features workshops dealing with current issues related to economic and fiscal challenges; quality of life and community; effective and collaborative governance; and safety, among other topics.
