Parks Committee to Discuss Renaming Portions of Floyds Fork

Louisville, KY: The Metro Council’s Parks, Libraries, and Arts Committee will meet on Tuesday, August 16, at 5:00 p.m. to consider three ordinances renaming properties that will become part of the Parklands of Floyds Fork. Teena Halbig, President of The Floyds Fork Environmental Association, as well as a representative from 21st  Century Parks will each give a 5 minute opening statement.  After their opening statements, any citizen may speak to the committee for 2 minutes. If fewer than 10 people sign-up to speak, the Chair will allow 3 minutes per person.
 
Anyone wishing to speak before the committee must sign-up in person outside the council chambers no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 16th.
 
There will be a vote on each of the three renaming ordinances at the committee meeting and regardless of the outcome, the ordinances will be voted on at the regular meeting of Metro Council on August 25th.
