Lexington, KY ... The CATS and CARDS will soon be at it again, except this time it will be to brainstorm partnering opportunities BETWEEN two of Kentucky's leading cities!

For the first time members of Lexington's City Council will sit around the table with members of Louisville's City Council to discuss how their respective cities can partner and subsequently leverage their collective strengths to move all of Kentucky forward.

Lexington Council Member Jay McChord and Louisville City Council Member Robin Engle were co-creators of this unprecedented event.  "This is the first time in history that we have held a joint Lexington-Louisville Council meeting - this is truly a Lexington-Louisville Consortium," McChord said.

Council Member McChord went on to say, "We are holding this meeting to accomplish two goals.  The first is to begin building a partnering relationship between our two respective cities.  The second is to look for immediate issues, so we can leverage our collective strengths towards moving not only our communities forward, but ALL of Kentucky!"

Issues that are on the agenda include:  The World Equestrian Games (Director of the Horse Park, John Nicholson will lead this discussion), Infrastructure Planning and Funding, and Economic Development and Tourism.

The event will be held at 11 AM, Monday, April 10, in The Kentucky Horse Park's Club Lounge.

The Kentucky Horse Park is located at 4089 Iron Works Parkway.  Directional signs to the Club Lounge will be posted.  This meeting is free and open to the public.
