A unique community operation will get underway on Thursday, March 26th when Councilman George Unseld helps welcome the My Home Foundation to District 6 at an official ribbon cutting ceremony.
“I am proud to support an organization that will not only help the California Neighborhood but help children and adults in so many ways,” says Unseld. “This group and its partners will go a long way to help families in Metro Louisville”
My Home Foundation Inc. will work with various agencies to provide training, recreation, nutritional programs to children and adults in the area. It will also work with the JCPS Adult Life Long Living for You and provide 2,000 sq. ft in its facility for a full-fledged Dare to Care Food Bank. The food bank will highlight meats, fresh produce and baked goods.
“My Home Foundation is stressing the important partnerships that are needed in these tough economic times to help families become part of our city not victims in it,” says Unseld.
There is also an employment component to the program. Census Bureau will start training classes for the 2010 Census on Friday, March 27.
My Home Foundation located at 900 South 13th Street. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 11:00am,
