A progress report on Riverview Park along the Ohio River will be the highlight of the October District 12 Dialogue set for Tuesday, October 21st beginning at 7:00pm.
“The future for Riverview Park is bright, it will be one of the featured attractions in Southwest Louisville,” says Councilman Rick Blackwell (D-12). “I want to give everyone a chance to learn how development of the park is going and what lies ahead.”
David Karem, Executive Director of the Waterfront Development Corporation will be the feature guest for the October meeting. The Corporation has had major success in development of the downtown Waterfront area from the Fourth Street Wharf to beyond the Big Four Bridge along River Road.
The October District 12 Dialogue will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 7718 Columbine Drive.
Representatives of other agencies of Metro Government, including LMPD, MSD, and IPL, in addition to a representative from Congressman John Yarmuth’s office, will also be on hand to answer any questions or address concerns.
“Because of the storm damage, we had to cancel our September meeting,” says Blackwell. “This meeting will give me a chance to hear how storm debris collection has been going and if there are any concerns that need to be addressed.”
