Louisville - Councilwoman Attica Scott invites everyone in District 1 who may have a question or concern about an issue to come out and “Ask Attica” on Tuesday, May 28th beginning at 6:00pm.

“This is our regular series of community meetings and many departments and agencies of Metro Government will be on hand to meet with the people of the district,” says Scott. “This is one way of bringing government to the people and fostering civic engagement so I hope everyone will take advantage of this opportunity.”

State Representative Reginald Meeks (D-Louisville) is the Councilwoman’s special guest for the evening. He will give an update on various projects he is involved with in the area.

“Ask Attica” will get underway at the Catholic Enrichment Center, 3146 West Broadway.

Among the departments in attendance will be the 2nd Division LMPD, TARC, MSD, IPL, Bank On Louisville, Public Works, Community Services and Revitalization, Economic Growth & Innovation, Metro Housing Resource Home Repair Center, Center for Neighborhoods and the Air Pollution Control District.

“We will be recognizing the organizations that helped to build the Parkland Community Garden and displaying artwork created by area youth in partnership with internationally-renowned artist Lily Yeh,” says Scott. “Those are just a few of many things going on in the district. Come join us and get updated on your community.”
