Ninth District residents will have a chance to learn what’s going on with Metro Parks, Metro Police, Building Code Enforcement and issues involving planning and zoning when Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh hosts the annual Fall Community Forum on September 28th.
“This forum is an opportunity to find out how four different agencies of metro government operate in our districts,” says Ward-Pugh. “We are bringing together four different departments that many people interact with and are likely unaware of the various services they provide.”
The Fall Community Forum’s Guest Speakers include: Theresa Senninger of Planning & Design, Officer Artman of Louisville Metro Police, James Mims of Codes and Regulations and a representative of Metro Parks.
The Ninth District Fall Community Forum will be held at Whitehall House and Gardens, 3110 Lexington Road. It will begin at 5:30pm with a very informal meet and greet session with the Councilwoman and the Guest Speakers. The Forum itself with questions and answers begins a 6:00pm and will likely finish around 7:30pm.
“For Metro Government to be successful, it’s important for everyone to understand how departments work and why things are done the way they are,” says Ward-Pugh. “I encourage folks to come out and ask questions or voice their concerns about issues of interest to them. We are here to listen and respond.”
