Metro Councilwoman Mary C. Woolridge will continue a holiday tradition on Saturday, December 15th when she hosts the District 3 Holiday Party. The party will also be a chance to help a local charity take care of those in need for the holidays.
“I always look forward to doing something for families and children during the holiday season,” says Woolridge. “I enjoy spreading the holiday spirit, especially for children just to see the look on the faces brings joy to my heart.”
The District 3 Holiday Party will be held at the Kirby Center of Excellence, 2308 Algonquin Parkway from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The party is open to children 12 years and under but they must be accompanied by an adult.
Woolridge is asking those who attend the party to bring can goods or any other non perishable items for Dare to Care.
“Dare to Care” is a caring organization that helps feed needy families in our area,” says Woolridge. “Any donation during the holiday season will go along way in helping them help others.”
