Louisville – Councilwoman Vicki Aubrey Welch is offering residents of District 13 the chance to come out and share their ideas about what they would like to see happen in Metro Louisville.

“When was the last time you sat down with a friend or a colleague and just talked about an idea over coffee?” says Welch. “Sometimes a casual chat is one of the best ways to find out what’s going on or tell someone what you think about something.”

The Councilwoman begins a new year of “Coffee with your Councilwoman” on Saturday, March 15th starting at 9:30am at the First String Family Sports Grill & Bar, 5921 New Cut Road.

The event is an informal way to meet the Councilwoman and her staff. There is no sign up required and there is no agenda. Just come out and over a free cup of coffee talk about what you would like to see in the district. At the same time, you can get updates on projects and ongoing programs.

“In the coming months we will have special guests come out and talk about different areas of Metro Government but to begin the year, I want to hear from the people of District 13,” says Welch. “If you have your own wish list of good ideas, come out and share them with me.”
