Councilwoman Madonna Flood (D) 24 will join Mayor Jerry Abramson on Monday, June 16th for the next Mayor’s Community Conversation at Knight Middle School.

“I want to extend an invitation to everyone in District 24 to come out and talk with me or the Mayor if you have something on your mind,” says Flood.

The Mayor’s Community Conversation brings representatives from all agencies of government to various locations around the city. It is a chance for residents to interact with metro government. Representatives of the Jefferson County School System, Insight Cable and Congressman John Yarmuth’s office are also on hand.

Joining Flood will be Council President Jim King (D) 10 and Council Members Rick Blackwell (D) 12, Vicki Aubrey Welch (D) 13 and Bob Henderson (D) 14.

“The Metro Council is currently reviewing the Mayor’s FY 2009 Budget and this is a good opportunity for anyone to let us know what should be the city’s spending priorities,” says Flood.

The Mayor’s Community Conversation begins at 6:30pm. Knight Middle School is located at 9803 Blue Lick Road. For more information, call Metro Call at 311 or 574-5000.
