Residents of District 6 still have one more chance to comment on what Metro Louisville should look for in its next Chief of Metro Police. Councilman David James will host his final forum on the search this weekend.

“I want to make sure everyone has a chance to have their say as this process continues,” says James. “We have heard many good comments in our previous forums about what the city should look for and I expect to hear more this weekend.”

The final Chief’s Forum will be at the Old Louisville Information Center in Central Park, 1340 South Fourth Street. The forum begins at 10:00am.

Councilman James has already sponsored a series of forums in the West, South and Southwestern areas of Louisville. All information and comments gathered from the public will be forwarded to the Southern Police Institute and Mayor Greg Fischer. The Institute is coordinating candidates for the Chief’s position for the city.

“I encourage everyone to come out and let us hear what you have to say,” James added.

For more information about the Chief’s Forum, contact Councilman James’ office at 574-1106.
