Community Affairs Committee to be updated on delinquent property owners

Members of the Louisville Metro Council’s Community Affairs Committee will receive an update on delinquent property owners from James Mims, Director of Codes and Regulations during their regular meeting on Wednesday, October 27th.

“This committee continues to follow this issue and we want to know if progress has been made in tracking down delinquent property owners and getting them to take of their problem properties,” says Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin (D-2), who chairs the Committee,

In September, the Metro Council approved an ad that listed some 262 people who owed more than $12,000 in fines to the city for neglected property.

The Community Affairs Committee meets at 2: 00 pm in Council Chambers, 601 West Jefferson Street.
