Councilwoman Scott hosts Mayor Fischer and GLI for a District 1 “Reality Ride”

Louisville—Councilwoman Attica Scott (D-1) will host Mayor Greg Fischer and the new CEO of Greater Louisville Inc., Craig Richard, on the next District 1 “Reality Ride” set for Saturday, May 11th. The Reality Ride will focus attention on the Southwest part of District 1.
“These rides are a great way to see firsthand what is going on in District 1,” says Scott. “I am pleased that Mr. Richard will be along so that he can see current economic development for the area and gain insight into growth potential for future businesses.”
Scott will begin the tour by leaving the Lake Dreamland Fire Station located at 4603 Cane Run Road at 1:00pm.
Among the areas to be visited;
· Cane Run Road Corridor from Ralph Avenue to Riverport Drive
· Rubbertown Corridor (chemical plants)
· Lake Dreamland neighborhood
· LG&E Cane Run Road plant
· Housing Partnership Inc. (new homes development)
· Riverport Authority
· Riverside Gardens Park and MSD flood wall.
The tour will get to as many locations as time allows.
“It is important that the mayor and the Metro Council have good working relationships and open lines of communication with one another,” says Scott. “I appreciate the Mayor for making this tour a priority for his already full schedule.”
