Free Diabetes Classes Being Offered by Public Health & Wellness

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – (4/24/2007) Individuals interested in learning about and managing diabetes are invited to attend a series of four free classes being offered by the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health & Wellness beginning Wednesday, May 9, at the Highlands / Shelby Park Branch of the Louisville Free Public Library in Mid-City Mall.
Classes are free and attendance at the entire series of four classes is encouraged. All classes begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. Phone 574-6663 for reservations or for more information. Class size is limited so please phone to make a reservation. The class schedule is as follows:

Public Health & Wellness also has a free support group for people with diabetes and their family or caretakers. The group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the Park DuValle Community Health Center at 3015 Wilson Avenue. Phone 574-6663 for more information.
