Green to speak at MLK Post Office Ceremony on Friday

Metro Councilwoman Judith Green (D-1) will be on hand Friday, January 15th as guest speaker for the 20th Annual Martin Luther King Jr., Post Office, MLK recognition celebration.
“I look forward to being a part of this wonderful event,” says Green. “This popular Branch of the Post Office is a reminder of Dr. King’s legacy to everyone going up and down Broadway every day.”
The Celebration will get underway at 10:00am. Joining Dr. Green at the ceremony will be a representative of Congressman John Yarmuth’s office. There will also be a special performance by the students from King Elementary School.
“I can think of no better way to start the celebrations of this very special holiday,” says Green. “The people who work at this branch do an outstanding job of service to this community every year.”
The event will be held at the Oak & Acorn Center @ 631 S. 28th St and is sponsored by the MLK Post Office Customer Advisory Council.
