It is a course that will go a long way in protecting you and your family. Councilman Rick Blackwell (D-12) is bringing Crime Prevention 101 to Pleasure Ridge Park.
“Public safety has always been one of my highest priorities for the District,” says Blackwell. “It is my hope that Crime Prevention 101 will give residents the tools they need to protect themselves.”
The seminar will be held at the Southwest Government Center, 7219 Dixie Highway on Tuesday, September 23rd beginning at 7:00pm. It will focus on three key areas of protection: ID Theft, Fire safety/prevention and tips on how to make your home and car safe from criminals.
“We will have the experts on hand in each of the areas to give easy to understand information that will help keep people from becoming victims of crime,” says Blackwell.
Louisville’s Better Business Bureau will make a presentation about how to protect yourself against Identity Theft. Major Alice Sparks, with the Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Department, will discuss fire safety. Resources officers of the Louisville Metro Police Department will provide the latest on crime proofing your home and car.
