Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh is inviting residents of District 9 to come out to a Community Forum on Tuesday, October 13th beginning at 6:00pm.
“This is a chance to learn about some important programs in Metro Government,” says Ward-Pugh. “It’s also a chance to talk with me and my staff about any issue or concern in the district.”
The Community Forum will take place at the Mellwood Arts Center, 1860 Mellwood Avenue. There will be guest speakers on hand: City Arborist, Mark White, Inspector Michael Lamey of IPL and Josh Suiter of KIPDA.
“We are glad also glad to offer flu shots for just $25,” says Ward-Pugh. “Along with information about flu season and what some folks may need to be aware of as we move into cooler temperatures.”
There will also be free chili provided by the Louisville Fire and Rescue’s Telesquirt 21.
“I hope people will take the time to talk with our firefighters who will be on hand,” says Ward-Pugh. “It’s a chance to thank them for their hard work and at the same time tatse some good homemade chili.”
For more information about the Community Forum or to sign up for a flu shot, contact Councilwoman Ward-Pugh’s office at 574-1109.
