Louisville – Heavy rains the weekend of September 23rd caused flooding problems for many areas of Metro Louisville.
As a result Councilwoman Cheri Bryant Hamilton (D) is hosting an informational meeting on Tuesday October 10th for those in her district who may have been affected.
“I want residents of District 5 to have a chance to ask questions about what is being done about the flooding problems we were faced with and what residents are entitled to in the way of reimbursement,” said Hamilton.
The informational meeting will be held at the Shawnee Golf Course Clubhouse, 460 Northwestern Parkway beginning at 6:30pm.
Representatives of the Metropolitan Sewer District will be on hand, along with officials from insurance companies and solid waste management services to answer questions.
“This is a chance to get information that could help and at the same time might prevent future problems,” says Hamilton.
