Metro Councilwoman Mary C. Woolridge (D-3) is inviting children and their families to come out for her Holiday Caring and Sharing Celebration on Saturday, December 13th.
“During this wonderful time of the year, I want everyone to come out and enjoy some holiday fun,” says Woolridge. “I look forward to seeing smiles on children’s faces and helping those who may be less fortunate.”
The Celebration will get underway on Saturday, December 13th at the Kirby Center for Excellence, 2308 Algonquin Parkway. It will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
There will be a holiday luncheon, entertainment, door prizes and Santa Claus will be on hand with stockings for the children. Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. There will also be drawings for holiday food boxes for adults 18 years and older.
“This is also an opportunity for those who come to the party to help Dare to Care,” says Woolridge. “Considering the tough economic times some families are facing this year, our help may be needed now more than ever.”
The Councilwoman is encouraging everyone who comes to the Celebration to bring canned items for Dare to Care.
