Councilwoman Woolridge honored as “TrailBlazer” by Toyota Motor for Black History Month

Councilwoman Mary C. Woolridge (D-3) will be honored on February 14th as a “Trail Blazer” by Toyota Motor Manufacturing as part of the automaker’s celebration of Black History Month.
“I am honored to be included with other accomplished women for this program and I thank Toyota for taking the time to honor the contributions of Kentucky African Americans,” said Woolridge.
The Councilwoman will be joined by Dr. Mary Evans Sias the President of Kentucky State University; former State Representative Eleanor Jordan of Louisville and former State Senator Georgia David Powers also of Louisville.
Woolridge will talk on how teamwork and respect for others has affected her personal life and helped her become the public servant she is today on the Louisville Metro Council
The Trail Blazer ceremony will take place at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Visitor’s Center beginning at 4:00pm in Georgetown. The event is being coordinated by Toyota’s Human Resources Department for its workers at the facility.
