Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin will welcome Mayor Jerry Abramson to District 2 when the Mayor’s Community Conversation gets underway on Monday, August 18th.

“I encourage everyone in the Newburg and Norfolk communities along with the Rangeland Road area to come out and talk with me and the Mayor about any issue on your mind,” says Shanklin.

The Mayor’s Community Conversation will be held at Thomas Jefferson Middle School on Monday, August 18th starting at 6:30pm. Thomas Jefferson Middle School is located at 1501 Rangeland Road.

Joining Shanklin at the event will be Council President Jim King (D-10) and Council member Dan Johnson (D-21).

Representatives of every agency of Metro Government will be at the event to answer any question or concern. Officials with the Jefferson County Public schools will also be in attendance.

“With summer ending and school beginning, there may be some areas of concern for the people of District 2,” says Shanklin. “So come out and let’s talk about it.”
