Free Diabetes Classes Being Offered by Public Health & Wellness

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – (7/3/2007) Individuals interested in learning about and managing diabetes are invited to attend a series of four free classes being offered by the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health & Wellness beginning Monday, July 9, at the Southwest YMCA, 2800 Fordhaven Road.
Classes are free and attendance at the entire series of four classes is encouraged. All classes begin at 1:00 p.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. Phone

Public Health & Wellness also has a free support group for people with diabetes and their family or caretakers. The group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the Park DuValle Community Health Center at 3015 Wilson Avenue. Phone 574-6663 for more information.
