In light of the holiday season and a new administration in Frankfort, the Monday meeting of the Ad Hoc Transportation Committee on the 8664 Proposal has been rescheduled for sometime in mid January of next year.
“In an effort by our committee to accommodate all sides in this discussion, it would appear January would be a better time for us to continue our review,” says Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh (D) 9 who chairs the committee.
The Ad Hoc Committee has invited Kentucky Transportation officials to give an over view of the current state of the Ohio River Bridges Project.
“Since a new governor took office just last Tuesday, it would seem only fair to give the new Transportation Secretary and other Highway officials a chance to get up to speed on current projects,” says Ward-Pugh.
The next meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee will be announced sometime after the first of the year, when the Metro Council resumes its regular schedule after the holidays. The date of that meeting will be announced.
