At its annual meeting on Tuesday, Louisville Water Company’s Board of Water Works approved the officers of the Company and Board positions for the 2009 term.
Gerald R. Martin, Vice President and managing member of River Hill Capital, LLC was elected Chair of the Board of Water Works. Martin replaces Wendy Welsh, who ended her term with the Board. Welsh, a Senior Vice President of Information Technology at E.ON US, was a member of the Board of Water Works for 13 years. “Ms. Welsh provided outstanding leadership both as a Board member and as Chair of the Board,” said Greg Heitzman, President and CEO of Louisville Water Company. “We appreciate her long-standing commitment.”
Marita Willis, Assistant Vice President at PNC Bank, is the Board’s new Vice-Chair.
Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson appointed Glenn Sullivan as a new member of the Board of Water Works. Sullivan is President of the Sullivan University System.
The Board of Water Works is composed of seven members, appointed by the Louisville Metro Mayor. The membership is bi-partisan, with no more than 50% from the same political party. The Mayor serves as an ex-officio member.
Also at its annual meeting, the Board approved the officers of the Company for the 2009 term. They include:

▪Barbara Dickens, Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
▪Amber Halloran, Vice President, Finance and Treasurer
▪Ed Chestnut, Vice President, Administration
▪Dave Vogel, Vice President, Distribution Operations and Customer Service
