METCO Approves Loans to Four Local Businesses

Four loans in the amount of $625,000 were approved by the Louisville Metropolitan Business Development Corporation. These loans will leverage $9.7 million in total investment.
· $95,000 loan to Bourbon Barrel Foods, LLC, located at 1201 Story Avenue. The loan will allow owner Jamie Matt to expand the company’s space and purchase new equipment which will improve the manufacturing process. Bourbon Barrel Foods will create three new jobs.
· $400,000 loan to ICIM Corp. d/b/a/ Indatus, located at 118 E. Main Street. The loan will allow owners, David Durik and Phil Hawkins, to move their cloud-based technology/ communications company from New Albany, Indiana and complete a $7 million renovation on the former Bridges & Smith building, a painting manufacturer. The project will create 20 new jobs.
· $50,000 façade loan to Dodwani Properties, LLC, located at 1578 Bardstown Road. The loan will allow owner Dr. Kishin Dodwani to renovate the property and open a restaurant. Improvements will include a new storefront, new siding, limestone columns, and
· $80,000 energy efficiency loan to Vision FDB, LLC, located at 640 S. 4th Street. This loan will allow owners Aaron Frisbee, Larry Bisig and George Dumstorf III to replace the aging HVAC system and lighting in the Bisig Impact Centre. Improvements include installing more modern and efficient cooling and lighting through the building.
