Metro Councilwoman Judith Green is extending an invitation to the residents of District 1 for the first of many “Open Door” Dialogues.
“I want everyone to come out and meet with me and my staff as we begin going through the district and understanding concerns and needs,” says Green. “This is a chance to learn a little more about what we are trying to do in District 1.”
The first of two “Open Door” Dialogues will be held on Tuesday, July 17th at the Lake Dreamland Fire Department located at 4303 Cane Run Road. The second is set for Monday, July 23rd at the 1st Virginia Avenue Baptist Church., 3601 Virginia Avenue.
Both meetings will be held from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
“As a new member of the Metro Council, I have had the chance to get my office running,” says Green. “So just like a new neighbor, it is time to get out and meet people and let them know you are there if they need some help.”
While Dr. Green will be on hand to talk one on one with residents, representatives of Louisville Metro Police, Louisville Fire& Rescue and the Department of Neighborhoods will be among the Metro Government agencies to answer questions or deal with concerns.
“One focus of these meetings is to help neighborhood organizations and associations in District 1 that have helped make our community a better place to live,” says Green. “I want to meet with groups who are currently active as well as those who might want to get a neighborhood group started. Come out and meet with us and let us know how we can help.”
Refreshments will be served at both “Open Door” Dialogues.
