Labor and Economic Development Committee to receive report on Prevailing Wage

The Metro Council’s Labor and Economic Development Committee will hold a special meeting on Monday, June 7th at 3:00pm to hear from Greater Louisville Inc. concerning the prevailing wage in Metro Louisville.

“GLI is fulfilling a request made by the Metro Council to review prevailing wage in Jefferson County and how statistics are kept,” says Councilwoman Marianne Butler (D-15) who chairs the Committee. “It is an important topic and I am sure committee members will be interested to hear from GLI.”

Joe Reagan, President and CEO of Greater Louisville Inc., and Jeff McKenzie of Greenebaum Doll & McDonald will make a presentation to the Committee.

The Committee meets in Council Chambers, Historic City Hall, 601 West Jefferson Street.

The meeting will be broadcast live on Metro TV, Insight Cable Channel 25.
