Louisville – While many students are heading back to school for the beginning of a new school year, on Monday one group of students will graduate.

Councilman David Tandy will join Charlie W. Johnson, Chairman/CEO of C.W. Johnson Xpress for the first graduating class of a new vocational training program.

Eight graduates will begin new careers.

The graduation ceremony will be at noon on Monday August 14th at Masterson’s Restaurant, 1830 Third Street. The ceremony will be in the Nicholas Room.

The graduates took part of a new program which is a partnership between C.W. Johnson Xpress, The Career Academy, Jefferson Community and Technical College and St. Stephen Family Life Center.

The program provides opportunity and training from a newly created truck driving school.

There will be a presentation of the program before the graduation ceremony.
