Grand Slam Golf Giveway taking place during April at Metro Parks courses

Wednesday April 8, 2009

LOUISVILLE - Golfers who play a round at any of the 9 courses operated by Louisville Metro Government during the month of April will be eligible for one of dozens of great prizes through Metro Parks’ annual Grand Slam Golf Giveaway.

Golfers who play at a municipal course will be entered into a drawing for a set of brand-new Powerbilt golf clubs, free rounds of golf, a weekday golf pass, golf lessons and more. They must enter the drawing at the pro shop prior to starting their rounds. Winners will be drawn at the end of April. Louisville-based Hillerich & Bradsby, makers of Powerbilt golf clubs, have teamed with Metro Parks for the promotion.

“This partnership with Hillerich and Bradsby has resulted in not only a home run, but a Grand Slam for local golfers,” Mayor Jerry Abramson said. “We appreciate their efforts through the years in supporting this community through the game of golf, in addition to their contributions as the creators of the Louisville Slugger.’
