Louisville Water Receives Better Business Award for Marketplace Ethics

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Louisville, Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky has named Louisville Water its winner for the 2011 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics in the medium-size business category.
“Louisville Water Company has served our community for more than 150 years and been part of the Better Business Bureau for more than 50 years. The BBB commends LWC’s focus on quality, value and excellent customer service as we proudly recognize Louisville Water Company with the 2011 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics” said Reanna Smith-Hamblin, Better Business Bureau Vice President of Communications.
Louisville Water President & CEO Greg Heitzman and Board of Water Works Chair Marita Willis accepted the award at a ceremony at the Olmstead on Friday, November 18.
The BBB conducts this annual awards program to recognize businesses and non-profit organizations that maintain a solid commitment to conducting their businesses in an ethical fashion. “Louisville Water is honored to receive this award,” said Greg Heitzman. “The commitment to doing the right thing starts at the top at Louisville Water with our Board and filters down to all of our 425 employees.”
