LG&E Construction at Cane Run Affects Southwestern Segment of Louisville Loop
Monday March 11, 2013
As construction progresses on LG&E’s new 640-megawatt natural gas combined cycle unit at 5252 Cane Run Road, a two-mile section of the Louisville Loop will undergo periodic closures, as a public safety precaution. Intermittent closures are expected through early May.
The affected segment in southwestern Jefferson County begins on Lees Lane, just before the Loop mile marker 14.5, and extends to just south of Lower Hunters Trace, near mile marker 16.5.
Trail closure signs will be posted at these beginning and end points, as needed. Loop users may also check “Advisories” on louisvilleloop.org for current conditions on this Cane Run Road segment.
