The second and final public hearing on the Mayor’s proposed FY2009 Budget will get underway at 6:00pm on Wednesday, June 18th.
“I want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to come before the committee and let us know how they feel about the Mayor’s spending priorities that he has set for the coming year,” says Councilwoman Cheri Bryant Hamilton (D) 5 who chairs the committee.
Persons wishing to comment before the Budget Committee can sign up between 5:00pm to 6:00pm before the hearing on the 3rd floor of City Hall. Signups will be on a first come first served basis. Speakers will have three minutes to comment and must be prepared to answer any Committee member questions.
For the public hearing, speakers must use the Jefferson Street entrance to City Hall which is located near the TARC bus shelter. Signs will direct the public to the hearings.
