Councilwoman Judith Green (D-1) is encouraging registered voters in Precinct M107 to attend the second of two informational meetings concerning a special wet-dry vote set for Tuesday, April 6th before they cast a ballot.
“It is important that everyone understand why this vote is taking place but more importantly the ramifications to the Parkland area depending on a yes or no vote in the wet-dry election,” says Green.
The informational meeting is set for this coming Thursday, April 1st at 6:00pm in the Community Room of the NIA Center, 2900 West Broadway.”
This special wet dry election will ask voters if they want to allow the sale of alcohol in Precinct M107. There is a small area of M107 that is currently dry. Only voters who are registered in the precinct will be allowed to cast a ballot.
“This kind of election can be very emotional and there are strong opinions on both sides,” says Green. “I want people to have a chance to ask questions about what all is involved before they go to polls next Tuesday.”
