With the help of B.C. Roosters and Republic Bank, Councilwoman Madonna Flood (D-24) is inviting everyone to help raise money for the Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk. The fundraiser involves having a good tossing arm.
“Cornhole for a Cause” began on Wednesday of this week and for the next three weeks will attempt to raise as much money as possible for the Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk.”
“I want to encourage everyone to come out and bring their best pitching pal for an evening of fun,” says Flood. “More importantly, you can help us fight a disease that has claimed too many lives in Metro Louisville.”
From 7:00pm to 10:00pm on Wednesday nights through October 15th, “Cornhole for a Cause” will get underway at B.C. Roosters, 7405 Preston Highway near Jefferson Mall. A simple donation of $10 per player is required. Teams can pre-register prior to Wednesday nights.
“This is a chance to come out, have some fun and do something for a good cause,” says Flood.
There will be prizes awarded to First, Second and Third place teams each night of the competition. The prizes range from box seats for the fall meet at Churchill Downs to free gas cards.
