Louisville – The Metro Council’s Ad Hoc Committee on Vacant Property is making a special effort to go out into the community to hear from groups, and organizations working on the issue of vacant properties in Metro Louisville.
At its next meeting on Tuesday, February 12th at 3:00pm at Trinity Family Life Center, 3811 Hale Ave, the Ad Hoc Committee will invite groups and organizations to make a presentation of 2-3 minutes each about their work on housing and vacant properties.
“Using the Sustainability Committee shout/out model created by Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh (D-9), we want to introduce our community to innovative and inspiring initiatives related to abandoned and vacant properties,” says Councilwoman Attica Scott (D-1) who is Vice Chair of the Committee. “The group or organization will have 2-3 minutes of FREE publicity to tell Louisville about their vision and mission.”
The meeting will be broadcast live on MetroTV, rerun and posted online. The first 15-20 groups to respond will receive slots to speak.
The Committee is specifically looking to spotlight organizations with small budgets.
If any group would like to address the committee, please contact the District 1 office by Friday, February 8th at 574-1101 or email Donna Sanders at email@example.com.
