Louisville – Councilman David James (D-6) is issuing an invitation to those living in Victory Park to come out and enjoy a day of fun, music and food as a way of coming together as a neighborhood.

This year, Victory Park Day is scheduled for Saturday August 2, 2014 from 11m to 9pm.

“The best way to continue to make Metro Louisville a great place to live is by getting to know one another,” says James. “When we come out of our houses to meet and talk with old friends and new people, we show a community spirit and pride that helps everyone.”

In the last few years, the Councilman has worked with neighborhood leaders in Victory Park and Louisville Metro Police to reestablish goals of safety and other programs in the area.

“With Victory Park Day, we offer everyone a chance to come out kick back enjoy a summer day with music and fun for all,” says James.

The day will include music and activities for the kids along with food trucks.

Victory Park is located at 1051 South 23rd Street.
