Public Urged to Complete Community Health Survey by June 1
Friday May 25, 2012
The Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness is urging people who have not yet completed an on-line survey of community healthcare needs to do so by Friday June1.
The survey is posted on the Metro Public Health and Wellness website at www.louisvilleky.gov/health and is available in both English and Spanish. The healthcare needs assessment survey was taken out to meetings throughout the community in March and has been available on the Public Health and Wellness website since April.
So far more than 1,100 people have completed the survey in all ZIP codes throughout the area. Responses have been heaviest in ZIP codes 40272 and 40216 in southwest Louisville.
“Thanks to everyone who has already taken the survey,” said Public Health and Wellness director Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt. “We urge those who have not completed it yet to do so by June1. It’s important that we hear from people throughout the community about their experiences in accessing health services as well as their perceptions of quality of care. Data gathered from these meetings will be shared with area hospitals and will be used to improve healthcare services in Louisville.”
