Councilman Brent T. Ackerson is sending out an invitation to residents of District 26 to come out on Saturday, August 14th for some fun with a community picnic.

“Every now and then it’s good to just have a little fun and give people the chance to get to know one and other with some food and fun,” says Ackerson. “I hope people will come out and enjoy themselves and Farnsley Park.”

The District 26th Picnic will get underway from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Farnsley Park is located between Commander Drive and Wedgewood Way, one block east of the Bon Air Regional Library.

There will be entertainment, with food and drink on a first come, first served basis. Neighborhood Associations in the district have been invited to set up tables to encourage memberships.

“This is one way to say thank you to all the groups who work with me to make District 26 a better place to live,” says Ackerson. “I look forward to meeting people and having some fun this Saturday.”
