Metro Councilman Bob Henderson (D) 14 is encouraging everyone to come out for Riverside’s Fourth Annual “Derby Brunch on the River” on Sunday, April 29th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

If you want a great way to kick off the fun week ahead, we have a good breakfast for you and some fun,” says Henderson. “And you will get a chance to see a jewel out here in the Southwestern part of Jefferson County.”

The Brunch features an authentic Kentucky Breakfast and bluegrass music. The event also features tours of the Farnsley-Moremen House, horse drawn carriage rides and a silent auction.

“Riverside and others have done a great job of taking the history of this area and making it something special for all of us to enjoy,” says Henderson.

Metro Council Members Judith Green (D) 1, President Rick Blackwell (D) 12, Vicki Aubrey Welch (D) 13, Kevin Kramer (D) 11 and Marianne Butler (D) 15 are also expected on hand to meet with the public.

Tickets to the Brunch are $40 per person or $300 for a table of eight. All proceeds will support the mission of Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing. The Brunch will be held from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing is located southwest of downtown Louisville, along the banks of the Ohio River. The address is 7410 Moorman Road, off of Lower River Road.
