Public Health & Wellness Offers Free Diabetes Classes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – (May 22, 2007) Individuals interested in learning about and managing diabetes are invited to attend a series of four free classes being offered by the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health & Wellness beginning Tuesday, June 5, at the Quinn Chapel AME Church, 1901 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd.
Classes are free and attendance at the entire series of four classes is encouraged. All classes begin at 1:00 p.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. Phone 574-6663 for reservations or for more information. Class size is limited so please phone to make a reservation. The class schedule is as follows:

Public Health & Wellness also has a free support group for people with diabetes and their family or caretakers. The group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the Park DuValle Community Health Center at 3015 Wilson Avenue. Phone 574-6663 for more information.
