Louisville – Councilwoman Marianne Butler (D-15) will join officers of the Louisville Metro Police Fourth Division and residents from Oakdale for the kick off of the 90 days and 90 nights Team Street Safe program on Tuesday February 5th.
“We are walking with Oakdale residents to let the neighborhood know that police officers and residents are working together to reduce violent crime,” says Butler. “Officers plan to walk in many neighborhoods throughout the 90 days for Team Street Safe.”
Team Street Safe is coordinating this initiative to prevent violent crime for 90 days and 90 nights from February 1st to May 1st.
Councilwoman Butler and Resource Officers Dean Sturgeon & Johnny Burgraff will leave Wyandotte Park, 1010 Beecher Street at 6:00pm to walk the neighborhood with residents.
“I can think of no simpler way for residents of the district to get to know the people who patrol our streets and keep us safe,” says Butler.
The Fourth Division began these walks in 2012. Officers Sturgeon and Burgraff have cleared their calendars and are available to walk any neighborhood, any day at any time.
If anyone would like to have the officers walk their area, contact: Dean.Sturgeon@louisvilleky.gov or Johnny.Burgraff@louisvilleky.gov .
